The Public Welfare Foundation Supports RJIP
The Public Welfare Foundation (PWF) supports efforts to advance fundamental rights and opportunities for people in need. PWF has an endowment of $475 million and, in its 65-year history, has distributed over $530 million in grants to more than 4700 organizations. PWF now focuses their grant-making on three areas in which they believe their grant-making can serve as a catalyst for reforms that can make dramatic differences in the lives of countless Americans: Criminal Justice, Juvenile Justice, and Workers' Rights.
As of summer 2013, the American Bar Association Racial Justice Improvement Project (RJIP) has received a grant from PWF to sustain reform efforts in RJIP's four original jurisdictions. Please visit New York, Minnesota, and New Orleans for more information on their sustainability efforts.
